Airman discharged, others receive Article 15 punishments

For the month of December 2016, one Ellsworth Airman was discharged while several other Airmen received Article 15 nonjudicial punishments for their actions.

 

An airman basic from the 28th Security Forces Squadron was discharged for drug use, in accordance with AFPD 36-32, Military Retirements and Separations, and AFI 36-3208, Administrative Separation of Airmen, paragraph 5.54. Member was discharged with an Under Honorable Conditions (General) service characterization.

 

An airman first class from the 28th Maintenance Squadron received nonjudicial punishment under Article 15, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), for use of a controlled substance in violation of Article 112, UCMJ. Punishment consisted of reduction to airman, suspended reduction to airman basic, suspended forfeiture of $550, and a reprimand.

 

A senior airman from the 28th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron received nonjudicial punishment under Article 15, UCMJ, for disorderly conduct in violation of Article 134, UCMJ. Punishment consisted of reduction to airman first class, suspended forfeiture of $500 pay for two months, 23 days extra duty, and a reprimand.

 

A senior airman from the 28th Communications Squadron received nonjudicial punishment under Article 15, UCMJ, for failure to go in violation of Article 86, UCMJ, and making a false official statement in violation of Article 107, UCMJ. Punishment consisted of reduction to airman first class, suspended forfeitures of $1,041 pay, and a reprimand.

 

A staff sergeant from the 28th Civil Engineer Squadron received nonjudicial punishment under Article 15, UCMJ, for being absent without leave in violation of Article 86, UCMJ. Punishment consisted of reduction to senior airman, suspended 14 days restriction to Ellsworth AFB, and a reprimand.
