Ellsworth cold spray team completes first AF organic repair

A Tridair Fastener hole on the Forward Equipment Bay panel of a B-1B Lancer is fully repaired using cold spray technology at the 28th Maintenance Squadron Additive Manufacturing and Rapid Repair Facility on Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., April 8, 2020. Using cold spray technology reduces the cost; instead of paying for a replacement panel at $83,000, the shop is able to repair the part for $4,000 dollars instead.
