Maintenance delays possible
ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. --
Ellsworth families residing in Rushmore Heights, Prairie View and Centennial Housing areas may experience housing maintenance delays while the maintenance contracts are transferred . The transfer is schedule to happen Aug. 1, 2011.
RUSHMORE HEIGHTS & PRAIRIE VIEW
For Rushmore Heights and Prairie View residents, the maintenance phone number, 923-5808, will not change and emergencies will continue to be handled immediately throughout the transfer. They will still be allowed to access the Central Transfer Station, although the station will no longer be open on Sundays.
CENTENNIAL HOUSING
For Centennial Housing residents, they will need to call Hunt Corporation at (866)680-5271 for maintenance issues after July 31. Emergencies will continue to be handled immediately throughout the transfer., Centennial residents will no longer be allowed to use the Central Transfer Station. Hunt is working on an alternative.
As for refuse containers, Centennial residents must hose them out after the last scheduled pick-up July 26, 2011 and then leave them curbside to be picked up by base housing personnel. Refuse containers not washed out and placed for pick-up will become the responsibility of the resident to deliver to the housing maintenance building on Centennial Drive. New containers will be delivered throughout Centennial the last week of July by the new contractor.
