ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. -- The Tax Center is scheduled to open on Feb. 1 to provide income tax preparation assistance to the base community during the 2016 tax season.

Trained base tax preparers will assist active duty members, dependents and retirees with completing and filing their personal tax returns.

The tax center is located in suite 1300 of the Rushmore Center and will be open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Personnel will be assisted on an "appointment only" basis - no walk-ins. 

Electronic filing is available and all services are provided free of charge.
