ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. -- More than 200 Airmen from the 28th Bomb Wing at Ellsworth will take part in the United Way Day of Caring Sept. 7, 2017, in Rapid City, South Dakota.
The Day of Caring is a volunteer-based event which encourages people to get involved in the local community by helping others in need.
Airmen will specifically be helping with 36 different projects around the city that benefit the elderly, disabled and/or non-profit organizations. Ellsworth has been supporting this event since 2001.
