Condition Updates

QUESTION
I have a concern about the road condition hotline updates. During the snowstorm we had after Thanksgiving, I called the 385-ROAD number and could not get through at all on my cell phone. This problem has at least been fixed. When I did get through it was from my work phone and the update was a week old and not accurate. I called the hotline again Dec. 8, and the last update was from Dec. 4. The Ellsworth web site was also not accurate. This is a big concern because we have not had a bad storm yet, and the hotline and web page will need to updated and accurate for our safety. I did call PA the first time and was told it would be taken care. Hours later I called the hotline to check and it still had not been done.

  RESPONSE
You are right - we dropped the ball on the notifications so far this year. The 28th Bomb Wing Public Affairs Office will ensure the information on the web site and 385-ROAD is accurate and up-to-date, and they will relay any changes to area television and radio stations. I stressed the importance of timely and accurate information on 385-ROAD, the Ellsworth Public Website and Facebook with my PA shop. If you have any problems with this system in the future, don't hesitate to contact me. Be safe and thanks!
