Two Airmen pled guilty to charges of illegal drug use during court-martials here, April 30.

Senior Airman Misti M. Watts, 28th Operations Support Squadron, was convicted of using cocaine. Airman Watts pled guilty to two specifications of wrongful use of cocaine after testing positive on two separate random urinalysis tests. The Military Judge sentenced Airman Watts to four -months of confinement, two additional months of hard labor without confinement, reduction to E-1, and forfeiture of $750 per month for six months.

Airman Basic Fernando M. Molinet, 28th Security Forces Squadron, was convicted of two specifications of wrongful use and possession of marijuana. Airman Molinet pled guilty and the judge sentenced him to 60 days of confinement and forfeiture of $500 per month for two months.

"These two airmen made the very poor decision to use illegal drugs and are now dealing with the consequences of jail time, significantly reduced pay, and a likely discharge from the Air Force," said Capt. Zachary Augustine, 28th Bomb Wing assistant staff judge advocate. "Hopefully these two cases will serve as a reminder that illegal drug use will not be tolerated in the Air Force and will keep others from making the same poor choices."

The Air Force corrections system will determine whether these Airmen serve their sentence here or are transferred to another corrections facility.
