USAF competition highlights premier ICMB, bomber, helo, security forces

Air Force Global Strike Command holds its biennial Global Strike Challenge trophy return and score posting events at Hoban Hall on Barksdale Air Force Base, Nov. 13-15.

During Global Strike Challenge 17, which held competitions throughout calendar year 2017, the top security forces, maintainers, missile and bomber crews competed to be recognized as the “best of the best” in their respective fields. The score posting event, being livestreamed at www.dvidshub.net/webcast/11438, will showcase the winners, as well as our Airmen’s ability to defend, maintain and carry out the global strike mission.

Awards will be presented to the “best-of-the-best” Intercontinental Ballistic Missile, B-1 Lancer, B-2 Spirit, B-52 Stratofortress, UH-1N Huey helicopter, security forces and maintenance units.

Participants are from Barksdale AFB, Louisiana; Dyess AFB, Texas; Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota; F.E. Warren AFB, Wyoming; Malmstrom AFB, Montana; Minot AFB, North Dakota; Whiteman AFB, Missouri; and Kirtland AFB, New Mexico.
