ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. -- The Real-Time Automated Personnel Identification System allows service members with a common access card to electronically update their information, verify family members and digitally sign Department of Defense Form 1172-2, "Application for Uniformed Services Identification Card."

The system enables family members to obtain an ID card regardless of where their sponsor is located.
