Spouse Appreciation Day May 10

As one small way to thank Ellsworth spouses for their hard work, commitment and unwavering dedication, the base will host a Spouse Appreciation Day that will kick off at 8 a.m., May 10, in the Deployment Center.

The schedule for the day's activities is as follows:

- Light refreshments served from 8 to 10 a.m., at the Deployment Center
- Col. Kevin Kennedy, 28th Bomb Wing commander, opening remarks at 8:30 a.m., at the Deployment Center
- 28th Security Forces Squadron military working dog demonstration at 9 a.m., in the grassy area at the corner of Tinker Drive and McConnell Street
- 28th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance disposal robot demonstration at 9:30 a.m., at the Deployment Center
- Unit and group events from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- 28th Force Support Squadron brief about events and programs at 10:30 a.m., at the Dakota's Club
- Flightline tour and B-1 bomber static display from noon to 2 p.m., at Spot 78 on the flightline
- 28th Munitions Squadron bomb build demonstration from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m., in Bldg. 7160
- Bomb load demonstration from 12:30 to 2 p.m., at Spot 77 on the flightline
- Fire pit demonstration at 2 p.m., at the base fire training pit

In addition to these events, agencies across the base will feature a wide range of displays and entertainment - including the 28th Logistics Readiness Squadron cargo loader and baggage conveyor, the 28th SFS weapons displays and the 28th CES fire response vehicles.

Information booths about sexual assault prevention, the Airman and Family Readiness Center, cyber awareness, MiCare and the base's youth program will also be available, along with inflatable attractions for children.
