Tension mounted as teams competed during the second, third and fourth weeks of Ellsworth's 2013 Intramural Basketball League tournament in the Bellamy Fitness Center, Feb. 11 to 28.

During February, all 10 teams in the league had an opportunity to face off against each other, with some teams setting themselves apart from the rest of the competition.

The competition is fierce, according to Airman 1st Class Richard Gere, 28th Civil Engineer Squadron electrical systems technician, who plays for the 28th CES team (B).

"We've been putting in a lot of work to pull these victories," explained Gere whose team has a five-game winning streak going into week 5. "Everybody on our team wants to make our squadron proud. Our plan is to keep up the intensity until this tournament finishes later in March, and bring it home during the finals."
