Bells are ringing, children are singing and wallets are shrinking. The Exchange offers gifts to choose from for Airmen desiring to give during the holidays without spending a fortune.

Chief Master Sgt. Patrick Luda, 28th Medical Group superintendent, gives his opinion on what Airmen can give, without spending more than $20.

"Great ideas for Airmen with kids could be a revolving barrel foam dart gun or mess-free markers," said Luda. "There is also a rack of video games for a couple different gaming consoles, with a whole selection under 20 bucks."

For Airmen who may not have children, but are still looking for gifts for their friends and family, the Exchange still offers a variety of gift ideas for their budget-minded patrons.

Airmen 1st Class Daniel Miller and Brody Schneider, 28th Operations Support Squadron air traffic controllers, agreed that there are several great gifts for friends who reside in the dorms that are available to choose from.

"A personal griller would be good to use in the kitchenettes at the dorms," Schneider commented. "Or even a coffee maker, since a lot of us have around-the-clock schedules."

Miller added a few ideas for significant others.

"I think a watch or some comfortable slippers are thoughtful," said Miller. "But there are things like body spray for men or women and ear buds for those who like listening to music."

Whether Airmen are purchasing gifts for a friend, a spouse, or their kids, they can visit the Exchange to get a better idea for what their loved ones desire, without having to strain their bank accounts.

The Exchange hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the store is closed on holidays.
