Trash On Ellsworth

QUESTION

On my way home for lunch today in Prairie View, I saw ALOT of trash stuck to the fence lining the baseball fields. Of course I thought it looked awful.

Well, after work on my way home, I saw almost all of the trash was collected and sitting in one area. I saw one lone woman with a trash bag picking up this trash. Now I don't know if she collected all of it by herself, however; I would like to commend her. I feel like too many people here (and other places) take our benefits for granted. Base housing is a benefit and it is our job to keep it nice.

Thank you ma'am for your initiative and for taking action on what most of us would have driven by and complained about.

  RESPONSE

Thank you for your note--and more importantly thank you to the anonymous hero who took it upon themselves to make things better for all of us. This is typically a windy time of year, and we see a lot of trash blowing through the base. I encourage everyone to take a cue from this team member and do their part to keep the base and their neighborhood clean.
