K-12 student registration Aug. 7

Registration for new students in kindergarten through grade 12 for the 2012-2013 school year at the Douglas School District is scheduled for Aug. 7 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Douglas Middle School.

To be eligible for kindergarten a child must be age 5 on or before Sept. 1, 2012.

Parents will need to provide their child's certified birth certificate, immunization records, proof of residency and a parent or guardian photo ID.

Parents of students grades K-5 who pre-registered last spring will receive a letter about class assignments.

The district will have an open house or orientation for students and parents at each of their buildings on the following dates and time:

Badger Clark: Kindergarten and first grade: Aug. 27, 2 to 3 p.m.
Francis Case: Second and third grade: Aug. 27, 2 to 3 p.m.
Vandenberg: Fourth and fifth grade: Aug. 27, 2 to 3 p.m.
Middle School: Sixth grade and new students: Aug.27, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
High School: Freshmen and new student orientation: Aug. 22, 1 to 3 p.m.
