On July 4, Ellsworth leadership will launch the base's My Military Communities 2 mobile application, another tool for Airmen and their families to utilize to stay informed about upcoming events and get useful information about the installation.

Ellsworth Airmen and their families who are followers of the base on Facebook can now access all Ellsworth events from the convenience of their Android and iPhone operating system devices.

"The MY MC2 is a valuable application that helps Airmen keep track of daily events based on the military groups they currently follow on Facebook," said Carrie Brewer, 28th Force Support Squadron marketing director. "This is a great tool for Ellsworth squadrons, private organizations and units to utilize to provide Airmen with a one-stop shop for valuable information."

My MC2 is a mobile application that centralizes Ellsworth community events, organizations and services. Whether Airmen are looking for events happening today or in the future, the Ellsworth My MC2 calendar centrally locates events based on key word searching.

In addition, Ellsworth's My MC2 can provide information about who to contact for more details about base activities.

"The majority of Airmen and their families rely on technology to get their information, so it's important that Ellsworth provide detailed information about our facilities and programs," Brewer said. "This application will help provide important information through social media outlets. Our goal is to ensure all Ellsworth Airmen are reached."

The My MC2 application is accessible by navigating to a device's application store, searching for "MyMC2," and selecting Ellsworth Air Force Base.
