Active-duty Airmen and their families will be able to visit hundreds of national parks and wildlife refuges for free starting May 19, 2012.

Airmen and their families interested in this program can obtain an America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreation Lands Annual Pass at any park or recreational land office that charges admission.

The pass, which normally costs $80, is being made available free of charge as a way of thanking military families for their service.
