Defenders to celebrate police week, May 12 to 16

The defenders of the 28th Security Forces Squadron have organized a variety of activities and events as part of National Police Week May 12 to 16, a special time to recognize the efforts of all law enforcement professionals.

There will be a variety of displays and special demonstrations that are open and free for Airmen and their families:

· Softball tournament May 12, 9 a.m.
Located on the field near Bldg. 4400, the 28th SFS building.
· The South Dakota Masonic Child Identification Program display May 12 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Located in Bldg. 4400.
This is a charitable initiative to aid parents in the identification and recovery of missing children.
· Military working dog demonstration May 12, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Located in Bldg. 4400.
· Equipment and weapons demonstration display May 14, noon to 6 p.m.
Located near the Exchange.
· Parade May 14, 4 p.m.
Starts near Bldg. 4400, then proceeds to Ellsworth Street, Centennial Drive, Dakota Drive, Centennial Drive, Washington Avenue, Crazy Horse Court, Cleveland Drive, Roosevelt Drive, Lincoln Drive, Arnold Drive, Schreiver Street and ends near Bldg. 4400.
