Museum visitor appreciation day May 19 Published May 8, 2012 28th Bomb Wing Public Affairs ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. -- The South Dakota Air and Space Museum will host a free visitor appreciation day May 19 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a variety of displays and special demonstrations provided by the 28th Security Forces Squadron military working dog section, 28th Civil Engineer Squadron Explosives Ordnance Disposal team, RC PropBusters, Black Hills Scale Modelers Club and STARBASE South Dakota. In addition to the displays and demos, visitors will have an opportunity to tour the Minuteman missile training silo, speak with World War II, Korea and Vietnam War era veterans, and experience the remote control airplane flight simulator.
