QUESTION

I am writing to find out if the base had, or has, any input as to what the housing office charges tenants for cleaning services for final inspection/check out. I realize that base housing is privatized but since privatized housing is a government-business agreement, I was curious to know if these fees were agreed upon by both the base and housing office.
The fee is currently $450, and while this service is a great option I find it to be excessive, especially for an E3 living in a small two-bedroom townhouse. I would expect the fees to be based on the size of the unit and $300 seems to be more reasonable for a two-bedroom unit.
I would appreciate your feedback on this issue.
Thank you

  RESPONSE

As you mentioned, Centennial housing is now owned and managed by the Hunt Corporation. The government does not have any contracts or agreements with them regarding their service fees. Your specific concerns are best answered by the Centennial Estates office at (605-791-3181).
