PCS class helps prepare first-term Airmen Published March 29, 2012 By Airman Hrair H. Palyan 28th Bomb Wing Public Affairs ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. -- The 28th Comptroller Squadron will offer permanent change of station in-processing system (PiPs) classes for all Ellsworth Airmen beginning April 10. Classes will start at 9 a.m., every Tuesday and Thursday in the 28th CPTS main conference room inside the Rushmore Center. No appointments are required to attend. "The idea behind these classes is to help our inbound Airmen file their vouchers through PiPs, and to explain what exactly our office and the Air Force Financial Services Center looks for to ensure their voucher is processed in an accurate and timely manner," said 1st Lt. Richie Amisone, 28th CPTS Financial Services flight commander. Amisone said Airmen are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early to sign in and secure a seat. He added that it's important to him that he ensures a timely session for each member attending. "Airmen will have to come in on one of those days to receive help with completing vouchers," Amisone said. "It allows us to speed up the process and avoid any discrepancies. We want to give Airmen a chance to ask any questions and receive help without coming in at a later time." Airmen should bring all necessary documents to the class, including any receipts, orders, amendments, recruiter assistance program letters and non-availability forms.
