The 28th Bomb Wing is preparing to conduct another operational readiness exercise next week and all Airmen are encouraged to be ready.

"The exercise will test the wing's ability to mobilize and forward deploy in response to a higher headquarters tasking," said Lt. Col. William Dobbs, 28th BW chief of plans. "The five primary graded areas are Command and Control, Deployment Processing, Employment Readiness, Information Operations, and Force Protection."

To be ready, Airmen are encouraged to keep the following thoughts in mind when completing all of their tasks:
  1. Maintain a Positive Attitude
  2. Safety and Technical Order Compliance
  3. Don't Argue With Inspectors - Learn from the experience
  4. Prepare Prior to the Exercise (ADLS training, review your mobility folder, prepare all pallets, etc.)
  5. Operational Security and Force Protection are everyone's responsibility
According to Dobbs, during an earlier Phase I exercise the wing focused on process familiarization.

"The goal of this exercise is basic proficiency," he continued. " The wing should build muscle memory and confidence on all Phase I processes."
