CONCERNĀ
I've been retired for just over 7 years. Core Values were at the center of how my career field operated. To see personnel in uniform, heading in to work or headed home and violating traffic laws, especially those dealing with school buses, makes me wonder if these people consider the core values just something to abide by only while at work. It's really disappointing to witness this indifference. It's also interesting that these people who violate traffic laws around school buses, are the ones who will holler the loudest when it comes to their children. While you're still in uniform, you represent your unit and the United States Air Force. Recall the phrasing from the citations that are given out: Amn/Sgt _________ brings credit to themselves, their unit and the United States Air Force. School is in session, please be careful and patient around the buses.

RESPONSE
I couldn't agree more. As the commander, I expect all of team Ellsworth, Airman or civilian, in uniform or not in uniform, to respect the law and conduct themselves professionally both on and off-duty. As a father of three young bus riders, I share your concern for safety around school busses. Let's all do our part.
