POW/MIA/Sept. 11 events

ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. -- The Ellsworth community is invited to attend the Third Annual POW/MIA Retreat Ceremony Sept. 9, 2011 at 4 p.m. in front of the 28th Bomb Wing headquarters building. The retreat will also be a remembrance for the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. On POW/MIA Day, Sept. 16, 2011, The Ellsworth Honor Guard will be honoring POW/MIAs with changing of the guard ceremonies on the half hour, all day, between 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Also, the Air Force Sergeants Association will be hosting a 5k run, Sept. 16, 2011, in honor of POW/MIA day. The run starts at the Pride Hangar at 7 a.m. No registration is required, people interested in participanting just need to show up.
