2011 Dakota Thunder Motorcycle Run set

ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. --  Registration for the free 2011 Dakota Thunder Motorcycle run on Aug. 9 begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Box Elder, S.D. Police Department and is limited to the first 200 motorcyclists.

Those participating in the run, which begins at 9:30 a.m., will be escorted onto Ellsworth Air Force Base and will have the opportunity to have their picture taken on their motorcycle in front of a B-1B Lancer. The run, which begins on Ellsworth and ends on Main Street in downtown Sturgis with a military appreciation event, will conclude with a flyover by a B-1B Lancer at 11:45 a.m.
