Flags to fly at half staff, honor deceased general

Gen. Theodore R. Milton, USAF, retired, died of a stroke Aug. 24, 2010 in Oro Valley, AZ. He was 94.

In Gen. Milton's honor, the Secretary of the Air Force has authorized the U.S. National Flag to be flown at half-staff on the day of interment at all buildings and grounds under jurisdiction of the Department of the Air Force. The period of this authorization will be from reveille to retreat Jan. 21, 2011.

General Milton is survived by his wife of 69 years, grace Elizabeth (Betty) Milton, his son and two daughters, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

A gravesite funeral service will be held on Jan. 21, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Arlington national cemetery, Arlington, Va.
