ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. --
As the sun rose over Ellsworth, Oct. 1, Airmen of the 28th Bomb Wing kicked off prisoner of war and missing in action Remembrance Day with a 5K run from the PRIDE Hanger through base housing, and back.
The day continued with a motorcycle run from Heritage Lake on base to the Black Hills National Cemetery - where the Ellsworth Honor Guard rendered honors. Finally, the day concluded with a retreat ceremony, back at Ellsworth.
