The morning sun shone brightly as Airmen, Department of Defense civilian employees and their families piled on to a bus bound for Denver, May 29.

The bus ride was part of a trip, hosted by Outdoor Recreation, to attend a baseball game between the Denver Rockies and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

"My daughter and I both had a good time," said Judy Bargo, 28th Force Support Squadron, bowling center manager. "This was my first trip with Outdoor Recreation and I would definitely do it again."

The trip to Denver included tickets to the game, transportation and a one-night stay at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo.

"Airmen can check the base paper and Web site for updated trips and events, like the trip to Denver," said Al Nelson, 28th Force Support Squadron outdoor recreation manager. "There are a variety of activities coming up for Airmen to do through us, so they'll never be bored."

Outdoor Recreation sponsors many events, such as sporting event trips, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, bike trips and discounted tickets to various theme parks. Mr. Nelson said they are trying to accommodate everyone by having a wide variety of trips and events.
