The scholarships were distributed to family members with military-affiliation. "It's an honor to be invited to participate in this process," said Col. Jeffrey Taliaferro, 28th Bomb Wing commander. "This is the product of lots of hard work both by our dependents who've earned this support, and even more so by the OCSC who work year round to raise money to support this charity." Colonel Taliaferro also encouraged the scholarship winners to continue their educational goals and aspirations. The EOCSC gave a total of $14,000 to eight individuals.
