Airmen at Ellsworth Air Force Base got a chance to share their jobs with some of the most important people in their lives; their spouses. Each squadron on base did something different for their spouses, allowing them get a personalized look at what their significant other does on a daily basis. For Neva Grabow, whose husband is currently deployed, it's a good chance for her to see what he might be doing overseas.

"Oh, It's kind of fun. You know, I get to see what he actually does and and maybe play around with some of the stuff they get to play with, and stuff like that." -Mrs. Grabow, wife of Senior Airman Beau Grabow, Explosive Ordinance Disposal Technician.

Demonstrations and job shadows weren't the only opportunities the spouses were given. Some career fields had opportunities for spouses to try out the equipment their Airmen use on a daily basis.

"I think the hands-on stuff is the best. I love the fact that CE has so many different tasks and types of jobs and shops, and that we get the opportunity to go and visit and look and see what all of those are." - Mrs. Sheryl Cronan, wife of Chief Master Sergeant Robert Cronan, Chief Enlisted Manager of the Civil Engineering Squadron.

After the demonstrations, job shadows, and picnics, many Airmen were allowed to leave work a little early to spend more time with their spouses. Reporting from Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota, I'm Airman Kate Walker.
