The South Dakota Air and Space Museum will be operating at reduced hours for January and February; normal operating hours will resume in March.

During the periods of reduced operating hours, the airpark portion of the museum will be open but the interior exhibits and gift shop will be closed. The airpark will be accessible to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day. The entire museum including interior exhibits and gift shop will reopen from March 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The museum's interior will be available for research students, school groups and other tour groups during the reduced operating hours by appointment with the museum director.

The reduced operating hours are designed to assist the Ellsworth Heritage Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of S.D. aviation history, in saving operating funds.
