Ellsworth recognizes newest staff sergeants Published Aug. 25, 2008 By Airman Matthew Flynn 28th Bomb Wing Public Affairs ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. -- One hundred twenty-eight senior airmen at Ellsworth were notified Aug. 20 of their selection for promotion. Air Force officials selected 12,209 of 28,098 eligible senior airmen for promotion to staff sergeant. The staff sergeant selection rate, 43.45 percent, increased 2.12 percent from last year.
