Tech. Sgt. Shanda De Anda, 28th Bomb Wing Public Affairs assistant NCO in charge, is promoted to the rank of technical sergeant through the Stripes for Exceptional Performers program, Jan. 28. Col. Scott Vander Hamm, 28th Bomb Wing commander, and Chief Master Sgt. John Gillette, 28th Bomb Wing command chief, tack on Sergeant De Anda's new stripes. Sergeant De Anda greatly exceeded the standards as a staff sergeant, earning the immediate promotion, which is given out to only a few Airman nominated for the STEP program throughout the wing.
