Ground was broken Oct. 11 on the South Dakota National Guard’s new facility at Ellsworth AFB. In attendance were Maj. Gen. Steven Doohen, SD National Guard Adjutant General (right), and Col. Peter Castor, 28th Bomb Wing vice commander. The new facility will house the 82nd Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support Team facility, which is consist of a 22-person team that can assist civil authorities in response to terrorist threat.
