As a commander what do you expect from your NCOs and junior officers?
I expect them to be trustworthy, good mentors and leaders, set the example, invest time in caring for their personnel, and to be able to make the applicable tough decisions at their level.

What do you like about your job?
The privilege of serving with the caliber of people we have in our Air Force today, militayr and civilian - awesome people who make awesome things happen on a daily basis

Where are you from?
Huntsville, TX

What do you like about the Air Force?
The dynamics of the challenges we face and the never-ending creativity of ourpeople to overcome those challenges. That's a big part of what makes us the most capable Air Force in the world. 

What inspires you to put on the uniform every day?
The uniqueness of everyday's events as they unfold and serving with the top-notch people who work together to get our mission accomplished one day at a time

What do you do in  your spare time?
I do whatever my wife and two daughters want to do-Im very family-oriented.

What's the most important advice you'd give new airmen?
Find a great mentor and learn from them, never stop learning, look out for each other, and do your best one day at a time and the rest will take care of itself.

What are y ou proud of?
I'm very proud of my family and how they've been able to adapt to over 20 years of moving around and my deployments and long hours. They're awesome.

What always cheers you up?
My family, my first cup of coffee, that feeling I have every payday before the bills start being deducted, when people ask "How are you doing?" and stick around for the answer.

What's your earliest significant Air Force memory?
I remember the day I graduated from my enlisted basic raining at Lackland Air Force Base, TX and how proud I felt - especially since a lot of my family was there.
Another significant memory is when I got a two-star general's personal car confiscated by the Dutch police, but that's another story.

What's your favorite food?
Almost all versions of pizza

What's your favorite TV show?
Recently, "The Unit"

What's your pet peeve?
Unprofessional language in a professional work environment.
