"Command affords the opportunity to lead and shape a team employing the skills years of training have taught us," said Colonel Boss in her change of command speech. "As the years unfold, we will celebrate achievements, work through failures, face new challenges and at times we will grieve over tragedy, but we will do it together as a team."

Colonel Boss thanked the military for their continued support of the medical group and expressed her gratefulness to Colonel Dornin for his service and the achievements the medical group accomplished under his leadership.

"This team is more than the men and women of the medical group," said Colonel Boss. "It is the combined resources of all who serve and all who support the greatest Air Force in the world. I look forward to the years ahead as we meet each of you and your families, not just in the medical group but in the entire Ellsworth community. It is my privilege to serve as the 28th Medical Group commander."

Colonel Boss thanked the 28th BW for their role in the change of command event.
Colonel Dornin retired from Ellsworth after two years as commander of the 28th Medical Group and 23 years of active duty service, commanding more than 250 active-duty military and civilian members. He was responsible for ensuring maximum wartime readiness by operating a community-based healthcare system maintaining the health and morale of Air Force members through accessible, quality medical and dental care for about 13,600 beneficiaries.

"I have to say it's been an honor and a privilege to serve with America's finest, I would like to say thank you for what you do each and every day," said Colonel Dornin. "You guarantee our freedoms and my family and I will always be grateful for that."
