A Congressional Delegation and military attachés from four nations learned firsthand how the Raiders of the 28th Bomb Wing provide combat power for the nation – anytime, anywhere – during a base tour July 20, 2022.

The Defense attachés Australia, Denmark, Germany and United Kingdom participated in a tour that included stops at key facilities, a preview of future B-21 Raider operational sites, and discussions with 28th Bomb Wing leaders about current and future missions, projects and partnerships.

“Our allies and partners are an integral part of U.S. national defense,” said Col. Joseph Sheffield, 28th Bomb Wing commander. “We are proud to show them our base and the high caliber Airmen we have accomplishing the mission 24/7, 365.”

Sheffield added that by pooling our capabilities, we create collective strength, and we are able to provide a more lethal and ready force.

“We’re honored to be able to fortify these critical relationships, and showcase what our Raiders do on a daily basis,” he said.

Ellsworth has partnered with the countries during several bomber task force missions in the past. The U.S. routinely and visibly demonstrates commitment to our allies and partners through the global employment of our military forces. Operations and engagements with our allies and partners demonstrate and strengthen our shared commitment to global security and stability.
