American Idol-winner David Cook to perform at Dakota’s Club June 3

David Cook, winner of American Idol Season 7, will perform a free concert at 6:30 p.m., June 3 at the Dakota's Club.

The event is sponsored by Air Force Services and is open to anyone with access to the base.

Cook is a rock artist who released his first studio album in 2008 after winning the TV music competition. He moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2012, writing and co-writing country music for artists like David Nail.

The singer and song writer began his music career performing in a bar band in 1998. He later accompanied his brother to an audition for the show on a whim in 2008, and won the season.

Those who are planning to attend may bring lawn chairs, and food and drink will be available for purchase.
