Base conducting exercise May 3-5

ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. --  An anti-terrorism/force protection exercise has been scheduled for May 3-5 on Ellsworth AFB.  

Base and area residents may hear announcements over the "giant voice" system and sirens.

The intent of the exercise is to evaluate the 28th Bomb Wing's ability to meet response measures associated with antiterrorism and force protection response. Exercises are regularly scheduled and this exercise is not being held in response to any specific threat.

There may be delays or issues entering and exiting the base during the exercise, but everyone is encourage to call in advance to ensure appointments and services are not impacted.
