Documents required for reissuance of IDs

With the most current upgrade of software for the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System, changes have been made regarding expired secondary identification documents.

To comply with Federal identity requirements, the Real-Time Automated Personnel Identification System, or RAPIDS, will modify use of expired secondary identity documents in the following ways:

For initial Department of Defense ID card issuance, RAPIDS will only accept unexpired secondary identity documents.

For DOD ID card reissuance, RAPIDS will only accept an expired DOD ID card as a secondary identity document. All other secondary identity documents, such as a driver's license, must be unexpired.
