The 28th Civil Engineer Squadron will be conducting a survey of the base lakes over the next few weeks. The survey will gather data on lake silt and sediment buildup in order to develop a natural infrastructure restoration project.

This process will involve personnel traveling onto the ice, boring holes at certain intervals, taking measurements using GPS equipment, and collecting water and silt samples.

Survey times will be Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m.

These times will vary depending on personnel availability and weather. All Operational Risk Management issues have been resolved and this effort is being overseen by experienced personnel.
