Members of Team Ellsworth are invited to take part in a 24-hour vigil run, scheduled for Nov. 9 to 10, in honor of prisoners of war and those missing in action from the United States armed forces.

The event, hosted by members of the Ellsworth Company Grade Officers Council, will begin at 2 p.m. Monday with volunteers running or walking in 30-minute blocks until 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The run will conclude at the Mission Employment Center for a building renaming ceremony in recognition of Veterans Day.

Participants will start and end each half-hour session in the Pride Hangar, with three outside route options available during the daylight hours, but will be restricted to the hangar after dusk.

Several Airmen have already signed up to run individually or in groups, but the CGOC is still looking for many more to fill the 24 hours.

Those interested volunteering for a 30-minute period should contact 1st Lt. Jayson Sanders at jayson.sanders.2@us.af.mil or (605) 385-4475.
