SDNG's 82nd CST to celebrate 10 year anniversary Published May 1, 2015 South Dakota National Guard Public Affairs ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. -- The South Dakota National Guard's 82nd Civil Support Team will host a recognition event May 15, from 1-3 p.m. at Ellsworth to celebrate the 10-year anniversary since the unit was formed. The event -- open only to Airmen, retirees, civilian employees and their families -- will include facility tours, equipment and vehicle displays, free food and refreshments. The 82nd CST is the state's all-hazard response team capable of detecting chemical, biological, radiological and explosive materials. The unit responds to incidents of local, state and national significance and provides support to civilian authority and agencies such as local fire departments, police/sheriff departments, county emergency management offices and other agencies of the first-responder community.
