28th MDG updates Ebola public health advisory Published Nov. 6, 2014 By 28th Bomb Wing Public Affairs ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. -- The 28th Medical Group recently updated its public health advisory on the Ebola Virus Disease, providing additional information on the current situation in the U.S., Operation United Assistance, and basic facts about how the virus can be spread. Currently, there are no suspected or confirmed cases of EVD in South Dakota, and the 28th MDG continues to actively monitor the outbreak in West Africa and other countries. Ellsworth does not have any Airmen deployed to West Africa in support of Operation United Assistance, and the 28th MDG has established procedures in the event members are tasked to deploy.
