Airmen from all walks of life had the opportunity to improve activities for single Airmen through a Single Airman Initiative focus group Oct. 29 here.

Each year, the 28th Force Support Squadron provides programs for single Airmen ranging from horseback riding to ski trips. However, these trips would not be possible without input from the squadrons' target audience - single Airmen, enlisted and officer.

That is why each October, the 28th FSS personnel team up with Chief Master Sgt. Kevin Peterson, 28th Bomb Wing command chief, to host a Single Airmen Initiative focus group.

This group consists of Airmen from various units around the base and allows servicemembers to provide feedback regarding the previous years' programs, particularly on how they can be improved and what new programs the squadron can introduce for the upcoming year.

More than 25 Airmen participated in this year's focus group, and provided ideas, such as dance lessons, archery lessons, self-defense classes, ski and snowboarding trips, and even sky diving.

The chief challenged these Airmen to take the ideas discussed back to their work places, to spread the word, and provide ideas from their peers to the 28th FSS.
