28th MUNS to conduct inventory Sept. 2 to 5

ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. -- The 28th Munitions Squadron will be conducting a 100 percent semi-annual munitions inventory Sept. 2 to 5 to ensure accurate accountability of the munitions stockpile at Ellsworth Air Force Base.

All munitions stockpile items will be frozen during this period. Munitions users must schedule appropriately to ensure all munitions transactions are completed by 1 p.m., Aug. 28 or scheduled after Sept. 9. During this period, only emergency issue requests submitted in writing and approved by the 28th Maintenance Group commander will be accepted.

This inventory is confined within the Munitions Storage Area and will not interfere with other base operations, excluding munitions transactions listed above such as issues, turn-ins, and expenditure requests.
