Parents of multiples find support at CDC Published July 24, 2014 By Senior Airman Anania Tekurio 28th Bomb Wing Public Affairs ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. -- Parents of multiples attended a support group meeting in the Child Development Center, July 21, in an effort to connect with each other and share experiences of having multiples. The meeting, hosted by Susan Ratkovsky, Ellsworth CDC director, provided parents an open forum to discuss the unique challenges of raising children who are multiples and what can be expected as they get older. "The goal is to create a support group for parents of multiples," said Ratkovsky. "There aren't any support groups like this in the Rapid City area and we're proud to be able to give parents of multiples a place where they can learn from one another." Ratkovsky added that this was the third meeting since the program began June 16 and that the CDC plans to hold meetings each third Monday of the month at 4:30 p.m. For more information, call the CDC at (605) 385-2488.
