Beginning June 9, all Ellsworth motorcyclists who have not completed a Motorcycle Safety Foundation course during calendar year 2014 will be required to attend Basic Rider Course II within the next 30 days.

The new requirement is designed to provide refresher training for all motorcyclists following a long winter. The emphasis will be on the decisions riders make regarding their motorcycle, when and where they ride, and personal protective equipment. Details about specific mishaps will also be briefed to provide real-world examples of riding hazards and threats to motorcycle riders.

Riders can visit the 28th Bomb Wing Safety office Sharepoint site to register, or call (605) 385-2599. When selecting a course date, those intended should choose a date marked with an asterisk, as those fall within the 30-day tasking window. Courses will not be taught on Sundays or July 4 through 7.

For more information, call the 28th BW Safety Office at (605) 385-2599.
