As part of an ongoing effort to ensure Airmen work in a healthy and productive work environment, Col. Kevin Kennedy, 28th Bomb Wing commander, will conduct a wing organizational climate assessment March 3 to 14.

The surveys are designed to gauge the overall mood of a unit and provide valuable feedback to leaders about the state of the organization.

Areas covered in the survey will include organizational effectiveness, cohesion, job satisfaction, training, supervision, communication and perceptions regarding harassment and discrimination.

"The feedback we receive from the survey will provide us with helpful information about what areas are on track and what areas may require a course correction moving forward," Kennedy said. "I encourage everyone to participate in the survey and share their thoughts and experiences."

In addition to providing feedback, Airmen will have an opportunity at the end of the survey to provide written comments. Kennedy reaffirmed that participation is voluntary, however it is a great opportunity for Airmen to have their voices heard.

"We ask that everyone who chooses to participate in the survey answers all questions very frankly, no matter if it is good news or bad," Kennedy said. "I, along with leadership at all levels will in turn, do our best to address and resolve concerns highlighted by the members of our wing."

March 3, all Ellsworth Airmen will receive an email with a link and access code to the survey. This case-sensitive code will be randomly generated and is not associated with an individual's name or any other personal identifying information. The code ensures anonymity and that each individual selected completes only one survey.

"My goal is to assess the environment across our wing and adjust where necessary to ensure that all Airmen are able to serve in a healthy climate that respects and values their contribution to accomplishing our mission," Kennedy added. "Bottom-line, we cannot perform at a world-class level or provide expeditionary combat power across the globe without a healthy climate."
