Ellsworth hosts force management briefings Published Feb. 12, 2014 By Senior Airman Alystria Maurer 28th Bomb Wing Public Affairs ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. -- The 28th Force Support Squadron hosted a group of force management information briefings for Airmen in the Dakota's Club Feb. 3 and 4. The briefings provided Airmen with current information regarding force management programs and how the programs may impact their lives. "There were more than six base agencies presenting information during the briefings," said Capt. Angela Turner, 28th FSS Manpower and Personnel Flight chief. "This gave Airmen an opportunity to have their questions answered by a number of subject matter experts without having to call or schedule an appointment with each one." Turner explained that Airmen had a lot of questions about the programs that were available. "Some people weren't sure if the programs could affect them or if they were qualified to apply for one of the volunteer programs," Turner said. "There was a lot of confusion when these programs came out and we wanted to ensure that Airmen were receiving correct information." Two briefings were conducted at the Dakota's Club for junior enlisted and NCOs Feb. 4 and two other briefings were done Feb. 5 for Senior NCOs. Each briefing had members from the Military Personnel Flight, Airmen and Family Readiness Center, Education Center, finance and the Travel Management Office available to help Airmen make informed decisions. "The presenters did a really good job helping us understand the programs," said Senior Airman Brittney Harrelldye, 28th Medical Support Squadron medical laboratory technician. "I really appreciated the fact that our leaders took the time to make sure our questions were answered." For more information about force management programs, Airmen are encouraged to call their first sergeants.
