Normal reporting Feb. 6 despite Douglas late start

ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. -- Although Douglas School District is opening two hours late, base officials announced that Ellsworth Air Force Base will continue normal operations and reporting times for its personnel. The delayed start may present issues for some, but officials stressed that the Youth Center will open normally and bus children accordingly.

In addition, the base's Patriot Gate will be closed to outbound traffic from 9 to 10:30 a.m. to accommodate safe passage. The Patriot Gate will also close to outbound traffic at the normally scheduled time when school is released.

Airmen with issues related to the delayed opening should contact their supervisors for clarification or additional guidance.
